If the gymnast falls below the required skill criteria for their training group they will be given relevant conditioning and flexibility exercises to undertake at home and one full term to amend the situation. If they still remain below the required skill criteria we will recommend a more suitable training group.
If the attendance of the gymnast falls below 75% they will be given one full term’s notice to amend the situation. Only unauthorised absence will be counted against attendance. Illness and injury will not be considered unauthorised absence, provided it is notified to the club at the time of absence.
If their attendance still remains below 75% the gymnast will lose there place in the club.
This is a subjective appraisal but will be noted by the willingness of the gymnast to participate and push oneself during training sessions to enable improvement.
The effort expected throughout the groups will remain constant. The level of progressive practice will increase as the gymnast progresses through the training groups.
If the effort of the gymnast falls below what is deemed acceptable for the group they will be given one full term’s notice to amend the situation. If their effort still remains below acceptable, they will be moved to the preceding group or with regards to Recreational, the gymnast will lose there place in the club.
A significant section of the Banchory Gymnastics Club caters for competitive gymnasts. Therefore it is expected that gymnasts in all the training groups, other than Recreational, will be willing to enter competitions throughout the year and will show team spirit in doing so.
Our gymnasts will be reviewed on a termly basis regarding the above criteria. If your gymnast falls below any one the requirements you will receive a separate notification. Your gymnast will be encouraged to amend the situation during the following term in order to meet the criteria and retain their place in their current training group.
